EU Declaration of Conformity generator
Every CE-marked product needs one (Art. 28 + Annex V). For default-class products you can self-issue it — this gives you the correctly structured skeleton.
EU Declaration of Conformity (Annex V skeleton)
EU DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY (No. [internal reference]) 1. Product (product with digital elements): [product name], version [version / build] 2. Manufacturer: [legal entity name] [registered address] 3. This declaration of conformity is issued under the sole responsibility of the manufacturer. 4. Object of the declaration: the product identified in point 1. 5. The object of the declaration described above is in conformity with the relevant Union harmonisation legislation: Regulation (EU) 2024/2847 (Cyber Resilience Act) — essential cybersecurity requirements set out in Annex I. 6. References to the relevant harmonised standards applied, or other technical specifications in relation to which conformity is declared: [list applied standards / specifications, e.g. harmonised standards when published, ETSI EN 303 645, IEC 62443-4-1, or internal specifications] 7. Conformity assessment procedure: internal control (Module A, Annex VIII) [valid for default-class products; important/critical products require a different route — verify before using this document] 8. Additional information: Support period for the product: [start date] to [end date] SBOM available at: [location/reference] Signed for and on behalf of: [legal entity name] Place and date: [place], 2026-07-03 Name, function, signature: [name], [function]
Before you sign this:
- It asserts conformity with Annex I — you must actually meet those requirements and hold the technical file that proves it.
- Module A (self-assessment) applies to default-class products only. Important/critical classes need a notified body or certification.
- Signing a false declaration is itself an infringement. When in doubt, get legal review.
